As I have said in the past, Fresh Meat Lane was supposed to be a short story for The One series. This was definitely not supposed to be as long as it ended up being. But these characters, there is something about them that has just made me fall deeper and deeper into their world, most often, fighting to return to the real world. I hope that you find that feeling as well while you're reading it.

Thank you to everyone who has helped me in the process of creating and writing this story. There were times (oh, about page 700 when I wasn't sure it would ever end, and then again at 900 when I couldn't believe I still wasn't finished) that I wasn't sure I could keep on going because the end just wasn't anywhere in sight. But I kept going, you kept pushing me and here we go. Done.
