Lazy Days
by Jules
Days where he doesn't have to get out of bed until well after noon. Those are his favourite. Those are the
memories he cherishes most, because they're real. And his. And not tainted with the shade that everything
else in his life is covered with. Curled around his lover who snores softly beside him, his lips parted slightly,
eyelashes resting against his cheek. He thinks that maybe that's when they are most beautiful, sleeping and
peaceful, forehead not creased with the worry lines that have become noticeably visible as of late.
He shifts slightly, pausing when his lover rolls over, pulling him tighter into his embrace. He didn't want to
wake him up, just get a better look. It is times like this that he is allowed to stare unabashedly at him, watching
him for hours at a time without having to worry about him becoming self conscious. The bed is once again still
and he exhales in relief, glad that he is still the only one awake at this hour. Granted, it is only 10 am, but they
had been up late the night before, talking. And laughing. And making love, over and over again until they
had both collapsed into each others' arms, sated and exhausted.
It had been a mile stone for both of them. Not because they had made love, that was something they had
done many times before, never afraid to express their love for each other physically. But it was in a way a first
for them. Up until the night before, he had always been the one on top. It was always him who gave and
them who received. From the first time they'd realized their feelings were deeper than friendship, that they
had moved well into love, it was always the same way, and neither questioned it. Neither complained for
change, until the night before. It was time.
He wanted to feel what his lover felt every time they expressed their love to one another. He wanted to know
what it was like to let someone into his body, to own him and touch him where no one else before him had.
He asked that this time he be made love to. Of course, his lover had been surprised by the suggestion, but
by no means refused him of this request. It was just that time to take things to the next level.
It was a pain that he sure as hell hadn't been expecting, and as he felt every inch of his lover slide into him, he
wondered how they did it all this time. "It gets better baby, I promise."They whispered to him, kissing his
forehead softly. Blue eyes met green and he knew it was going to be okay. He had never broken a promise
before and in all honesty, he trusted his lover completely. Absolutely. Endlessly.
And they had been right, the blinding pain eventually lessened and as they began to pull out of him, that pain
was replaced with jolts of pleasure. There were times when it was fast and desperate, both working furiously
towards their goal. But just as both men were about to peak, the pace was slowed down to a teasing crawl,
kisses shared between hushed words of love. This had gone on for hours it felt, the intimacy of it touching
him deep inside.
He had laid awake long after his lover had fallen asleep. He wondered how he could be so lucky to have
found someone like them. Someone who he could trust so wholly to let them inside of him like that. Not just
his body, but his heart. His mind. His soul. It was something that he never thought would happen, but it had.
And he wasn't as afraid as he thought he would be. It wasn't an 'out of control feels like you're drowning and
can't breathe' type of love, it was something he didn't even think he was capable of experiencing, but with
absolutely no warning, it had happened. p; He'd fallen in love. They completed him, made him a better
person, made him want to be something more than what he thought he could be. They believed in him when
no one else did, even himself. And for that, he was eternally grateful.
A bird chirped outside on the windowsill and it broke him from this thoughts, his memories. Reminded him
that life did exist outside of that room, even if he wanted to ignore it. He could spend all day wrapped up in
his lover's arms. Shifting he turned to see a pair of eyes watching him, half open, a smile on the lips he had
tasted so generously the evening before.
"Good morning."
